DIY Ghost Tower Floral Centerpiece
Today I wanted to share a DIY project I’ve been working on — Ghost Tower Floral Centerpiece.
This centerpiece was made from acrylic/plexiglass (base & pillars), glass crystals, artificial flowers and hanging glass globe candle holders. This design was inspired by the crafty Sherly Cormier of Elegant Creators, and although “homemade”, this centerpiece is sure to wow the guests at your wedding reception or other special event.
Standing at over two feet tall, this piece is pretty grand, so if you love elegance and bling this is a great addition to your tablescape . This tower can also be customized by using flowers in your event’s color scheme, LED lights instead of tealight candles, fresh florals in place of silk and you can always add even more crystals.

Top 6 Decor Trends of 2018
Happy New Year!
Welcome to our new website and blog. For our initial blog post we will take a look back at the trends used most this past year in events. Which will you continue into 2019?
Beautiful Backdrops
Used often to beautify dessert and drink tables and also for photo ops — backdrops aren’t going anywhere. Whether it be vinyl, drapes and swags, or the trending toward more natural elements like using this boxwood and other greenery backdrops are still a client favorite.
Clear Accents
This past year there was a lot of translucent accents incorporated into event decor, using lucite and acrylic. ‘Ghost Chairs’ were just the beginning of this chic trend, from serving trays and tray tables to pillars and amazing signage like this handwritten drink sign from Paper & Pine Co.
Geometric Accents
Hexagon plates ? Edgy angles are where its at. These and other funky shaped design accents have started to gain lots of popularity. No need to add a whole lot of geometric pieces, just adding a few elements like these metal geometric vases can make all the difference.
Baby Boss
The hit 2017 film The Boss Baby somehow made its way into party themes this year. This trend was very popular with clients wanting something fun for 1st birthday celebrations and even baby showers alike. This was a fun concept. We can’t wait to see what 2019 will bring.
Edible Decorations
Cake tables filled with sweet treats are still all the rage, but this year, lots of other edible features are receiving a decorative upgrade – doughnut towers have become doughnut walls, candy buffets have become color coordinated but back to that doughnut wall… (pictured)
Hula Hoops
This trend is one of our favorites. Hula hoop wreaths are one of the latest trends in event decorating and DIY is the way to go. You can add balloons, flowers, plants, roses, vines, fruit, and more… Here is one we created this year using balloons, faux flowers andgold spray paint.
